Yeasterday we tried (and spilt on Nessies carpet) a South African Wine, "Dumisani", a Pinotage-Shiraz. This is a sweetish red wine that didn't really hit it off with us. Almost spritzie, with little finish or complexity.

Today we tried an Italian wine, "Da Luca", a Primitivo-Merlot. This wine, apparently from vineyards above Taranto looking out over the Ionian Sea, was rather tastey, great finish and complexity with spicy flavour, though I don't know how much the view over the Ionian Sea had to do with it. The Pimitivo drowns out the Merlot a bit, but if the Merlot softens it, I want to try a Primitivo! This wine cost about 4 GBP or $10AUD, great value.

Well I've been looking after the kids for three weeks now... and survived! Many thanks go to Mum for helping out looking after them on Wednesdays :-)

Ray and Betty have dropped in on their way home from up North where they stayed with Nicki. Going out for Chinese, so better dash.
